Another year, another Summerlicious (is it really worth it in the end?). But, nevertheless, tradition states that my girlfriends and I join in merriment annually. So yes, that is what we do.
This time around, we were all crazy busy and left it to chance and chance said that we would try out Oretta. Oretta, located on King St. W, is an eclectic, 1920’s inspired looking restaurant. Beautiful high ceilings, reminiscent of cathedrals and a decidedly Gatsbyesque decoration, I was instantly delighted to take pictures. I can tell you I wasn’t the only one. We sat down, and took a quick look at the menu before deciding to share all the apps. Best. Decision. Ever.

The season of Summerlicious is upon us so special posting schedule of two this week!
I went to Café Boulud for dinner with Laughliveat and checked out their Summerlicious menu. This is a restaurant that I’ve always wanted to try so I was really excited to check it out. The two of us met up at Bay station and noticed that our outfits matched. Clearly it was a good omen. We got a tad lost when we entered the restaurant, just because the entrance we used said D Bar, but a lovely hostess directed us upstairs to Café Boulud.

So, Summerlicious might be over this year, but it doesn’t mean that the reviews have stopped!
I went with a bunch of friends (including Laugh Live Eat )for our yearly Summerlicious excursion. This year, we tried a Japanese Izakaya, which I’m not generally for. This is usually because if I’m going to eat little bits of appetizers during Summerlicious, I might as well get the full feel of them during a regular meal. But, the menu looked intriguing enough for me to say yes.

Two out of Two ladies and gentlemen! I had a mini reunion with my University friends and well, Summerlicious kind of happened with it. After much debate, we settled on Bier Markt, located in Shops of Don Mills. Seeing as how none of us have ever visited this lovely shopping establishment, we got lost quite quickly (of course). But nevertheless! We forged ahead (and got very distracted by shopping along the way).
Bier Markt is located among other restaurants, which lets patrons decide what to eat (I guess). I quite enjoyed Bier Markt’s interior. It was very eclectic, a good mix of bar and restaurant. I also assume they have a lovely patio, as I could only see it and not sit in the beautiful blinding sunshine.

Two for one this week (because I’ve been a bad person and forgot to blog last week… darn RL getting away from me).
This one is my Summerlicious meal at Wish. It was a lovely little restaurant (doors to the bathroom misled me into thinking that it was larger). I definitely scoured their website prior to going to check out the restaurant and it was more charming than their website lead me to believe.
