Another week another Meal Deal. I wish I was that efficient haha.
So in a strange turn of events, the NSSSO wanted to go downtown for brunch. Colour me surprised was pretty much my only reaction to the suggestion. But hey, why not, especially if he was in the mood. So, he took me to a new restaurant at Harbourfront. I was just glad that it was a beautiful day, if it had rained then it would have wasted the beautiful patio area that Joe Bird featured. I’m a sucker for the industrial look (trying to convince the NSSSO that a concrete wall in the bedroom would be awesome), so the place appealed to me on looks alone. What would the food be like? I was told chicken, chicken and more chicken.

So if you follow me on Instagram (which you totally should…. link) then you know that I’ve just celebrated my birthday!!
To be fair, the celebrating is still happening as my friends are still booking dinner dates (wink). The amount of food and desserty things that I’ve eaten this year is far larger than I want (recently gained a lot of weight… like a lot), but I’ve decided that birthday food = no calories (excellent adulting). So below the cut is just a brief overview of what I’ve eaten so far.
So, Summerlicious might be over this year, but it doesn’t mean that the reviews have stopped!
I went with a bunch of friends (including Laugh Live Eat )for our yearly Summerlicious excursion. This year, we tried a Japanese Izakaya, which I’m not generally for. This is usually because if I’m going to eat little bits of appetizers during Summerlicious, I might as well get the full feel of them during a regular meal. But, the menu looked intriguing enough for me to say yes.

Another week, another Meal Deal. I hung out with my friend Laughliveat and another friend over the weekend. We checked out Momofuku Noodle Bar and Milk Bar since none of us had ever visited the place. It really was quite an experience, why don’t I tell you about it.
The restaurant is modern with an emphasis on blonde wood. The place is really much smaller than I expected. The service wasn’t bad, but the seating arrangements aren’t my favourite. Sharing tables with strangers is always an awkward adventure, but how else do they seat the amount of people that show up if they have little seating?

It’s been a couple of months, but I’m back and I’m back with a bang! If anyone follows me on twitter, they’ll know that I’ve had my first live tweeting adventure. If you don’t follow me, I’m about to recap, in great detail, of my adventure at the first ever Mac and Cheese Fest in Toronto.
