Holiday Apple Rolls

Holiday Apple Rolls

Welcome to week 3 of Curiosity to the Oven X J:ETUDE collaboration.

This week were featuring an easy to do time saver of a recipe.

Sadly, this maybe our last day of collaboration. Both J:ETUDE and I are sick and we don’t know when we’ll be better.

Holiday Apple Rolls

1 apple
1 package of phyllo dough
1/2 tsp cinnamon
1/2 tsp brown sugar
white sugar (liberal amounts)
butter (liberal amounts)

baking pan/dish/sheet

1) Cut the apple into little pieces. Add cinnamon and brown sugar and toss the apples.
2) Prepare phyllo dough, remember to keep a moist cloth over the unused pieces, by taking a piece and covering it with liberal amounts of butter. Sprnkle white sugar on top. Repeat for second layer.
3) Preheat oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit.
4) Cut phyllo dough into even strips.
5) Place apples at the edge of a strip, fold over the apples once, fold the sides over so that the apples do not fall out. Roll the phyllo dough, dab the end with more butter to ensure the edges stick together.
6) Repeat until there are no more apples.
7) Place into oven, and bake for 15 minutes.
