First post of the year! (Wow, its February already…). Welps, I continue to be unreliable with posting I see. But have no fear (well, I’m sure you had no fear to begin with), I am back with not one but two posts. That’s right, you heard it here first folks! That’s two posts! Two! Anyway, enough showboating, let’s get this show on the road.
LaughlivEat and I went to Mezza Notte Trattoria. It’s close to home, so guaranteed to get home at a reasonable hour, since we decided to check it out on a weeknight. It was kind of unexpected to find an Italian restaurant between Finch and Sheppard on Yonge, given we usually think of that street as filled with Asian food. It looked like a cozy restaurant, which does the name “trattoria” justice I suppose.
So very obviously, we visited this restaurant during Winterlicious. As much as Winterlicious advertises itself as a cost efficient way of trying out the various restaurants in Toronto, the prices have made it kind of sceptical for a lot of people. Anyway, on with the food!

Curiosity is back with an absurdly short update (at least I think it will be as I start writing this haha).
So, if you follow me on Instagram you may have seen signs of me moving… and I may have mentioned it in a previous post (I most definitely did) that the NSSSO and I are moving in together. I’m happy to announce that it’s becoming a reality!
It’s been insane over here at the Curiosity household (or the soon to be old household). Between dealing with the Lil Bro and packing up our lives, there’s been very little time to think about Curiosity’s progression.
The NSSSO has been wonderfully calm through this entire adventure and I have to say a giant thank you to him. THANK YOU!!
For his birthday, he wanted to stay in but I wanted an extravagant meal, so we compromised. I made a seven course meal at home. I thought I would be overachieving, but hey, what’s having fun in the kitchen without some ambition?
Another week another Meal Deal. I wish I was that efficient haha.
So in a strange turn of events, the NSSSO wanted to go downtown for brunch. Colour me surprised was pretty much my only reaction to the suggestion. But hey, why not, especially if he was in the mood. So, he took me to a new restaurant at Harbourfront. I was just glad that it was a beautiful day, if it had rained then it would have wasted the beautiful patio area that Joe Bird featured. I’m a sucker for the industrial look (trying to convince the NSSSO that a concrete wall in the bedroom would be awesome), so the place appealed to me on looks alone. What would the food be like? I was told chicken, chicken and more chicken.

The season of Summerlicious is upon us so special posting schedule of two this week!
I went to Café Boulud for dinner with Laughliveat and checked out their Summerlicious menu. This is a restaurant that I’ve always wanted to try so I was really excited to check it out. The two of us met up at Bay station and noticed that our outfits matched. Clearly it was a good omen. We got a tad lost when we entered the restaurant, just because the entrance we used said D Bar, but a lovely hostess directed us upstairs to Café Boulud.

Trying to get back into the regular posting business here, so let’s see how long I can hold on before I forget or RL gets the better of me.
The NSSSO and I went to a new restaurant in Commerce Gate in Markham. I’ve driven by it a couple of times before it was open and I had wondered what it would be. Well, obviously they would serve cheese, but to what extent? In what way? Could I also buy cheese there? The questions were numerous and I couldn’t wait for them to be answered.
