These cupcakes came into being during Valentine’s Day this year. I have never failed to get terribly sick on Valentine’s Day. Every year during Valentine’s Day, I was usually stuck in bed with a fever. This year, surprisingly, I wasn’t sick! To celebrate, I decided to make red velvet cupcakes. Sadly, I couldn’t for the life of me get the colour right. So I gave up and called them chocolate cupcakes instead.
This recipe is actually really really easy. I decided to make this recipe because it’s Easter, and well, much like Valentine’s Day, what is Easter without chocolate? The recipe usually yields at least 24 cupcakes, but it could be because I prefer smaller cupcakes. So you have been warned.
Cheesecake cupcakes are a good twist from the usual cupcakes, and surprisingly easy to make. Really, this recipe is for the cheesecake lovers who can’t help but finish the entire cake on their own. This way, you get a little bit of cheesecake without feeling too guilty.
This was actually a birthday present to two of my friends who were born on the same day. Since high school, I have baked them a cake for their shared birthday and was looking for something new to try that year. I wondered if I could turn a cheesecake into cupcakes so I went and tried it. The result was not bad at all.
This recipe for banana bread really is quite simple. It’s one of those recipes you make on a Saturday night when you have absolutely nothing to do. I eat my bananas until there are only 3 bananas left and just leave them to ripen. You can always buy overripe bananas if you’re in a hurry to make banana bread of course.
The first time I made this recipe was when my dad really wanted me to get rid of the overripe bananas sitting in our kitchen. I wasn’t about to eat the almost black bananas so instead I went and looked up recipes using overripe bananas. After finding a recipe and trying new combinations, I was finally left with the recipe that I use.
Hello everyone and welcome to the very first post of Curiosity to the Oven!
In celebration for the very first post, I decided to start with the very first recipe I made that did NOT come from a box.
